New Color Label Printer Available

Advanced Matrix Technology Inc. has introduced a new printer for the on-demand and short-run color label market. This new digital color label printer, Fastmark, prints on self-adhesive, roll-fed labels up to 8.5 inches wide at resolutions of up to 600 by 600 dpi.

Using safe and environment-friendly solid-ink technology, Fastmark prints labels with waterfast ink. The printer's high-speed controller supports PCL5C, including PCL5e, and comes with 24MB of RAM, which can be upgraded to 72MB with standard memory modules. Fastmark also has an optional internal network card that is compatible with most network protocols.

In addition to the printer, the company now offers Windows-based software that allows users to design and print color labels with text, graphics, photos, and bar codes. The software also lets users add color to their existing labels.
