Mitsubishi's Class 6 and 7 Trucks Feature New Options

Mitsubishi Fuso offers five trucks in its class 6 and 7 models--FK, FM-MR, FM-HR, FM-SR, and FM-SP. This year, the FM series of trucks feature a larger wheelbase--239.4 inches--that can support body lengths of up to 28 feet. The FM models also are available in 181.9-, 200.0-, and 218.5-inch wheelbases, while the FK is available in 163.8-, 175.6-, 187.4-, and 200.8-inch wheelbases.
Supplementary floor-sill reinforcements protect the cab in all of the FK and FM models. In addition, these trucks feature anti-lock brakes on the models equipped with air-over-hydraulic and full air brake systems.
The FK truck incorporates several design changes for this year. The manufacturer increased the truck's front axle weight rating to 7,900 pounds, a 9-percent increase over last year's models.FOR INFORMATION CIRCLE 136
