Trucking

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 1/1/1999

Overall prices charged in the trucking industry didn't budge much from October to November. But compared with year-ago prices, shippers are paying out 3.2% more on average today. The November-to-November price rise was fueled by an 8.3% jump in less-than-truckload rates and a 5.8% increase in truckload rates. Shippers should note that average prices for #2 diesel fuel charged by the U.S. petroleum refiners fell 30.3% over the same time period.
