Fuel

By Daryl Delano -- Logistics Management, 2/1/1998

Prices for all kinds of petroleum-based motor fuels fell sharply during December. After rising about 2.0 percent during November, average nationwide diesel fuel prices plunged 10.9 percent in the final month of 1997. As 1997 came to a close, gasoline prices were about 15 percent below where they stood at year-end 1996, while aviation and diesel fuels were more than 20-percent cheaper.
