Harbinger Program Speeds e-Commerce Implementation

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 4/1/2000

Harbinger Corp., a supplier of electronic commerce software, services, and solutions, now offers an Internet-based distribution and implementation program for the company's desktop software products. The program, Harbinger Direct, enables customers to obtain access to new software, maintenance updates, electronic trading forms, and customer support directly from the company's e-commerce portal, harbinger.net.

The service is part of the Harbinger Business Community Integration program for trading community development and management, and is designed to speed the delivery, installation, and implementation of new e-commerce software products to customers. Using Harbinger Direct, customers can quickly gain access to required software and service functions that previously required multiple manual steps.

Customers using Harbinger Direct can now order and obtain their software electronically, plus instantly download a library of e-commerce forms that support the trading requirements of thousands of companies. The service also provides automatic set-up and maintenance of e-commerce trading accounts on harbinger.net, viewing and printing of XML-enabled documents, online delivery of electronic software updates, and connections to a 24/7 self-serve customer-support center.

All services are available using a standard browser interface and Internet connection.
