Manhattan Associates Forms Alliance With Deloitte & Touche

Manhattan Associates has become the latest software company to strike up an alliance with a consulting firm. Manhattan will partner with Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group to provide warehouse-management solutions in the consumer-products sector. As part of the arrangement, Manhattan will provide extensive training, documentation, and support to Deloitte's consulting and implementation teams.

In recent months, a number of software companies have signed pacts with consulting firms to provide systems integration, the customization of a software package to the client's specific needs. As demand for their complex products has soured, software companies have looked to consultants to provide installation and after-sale support.

Atlanta-based Manhattan Associates provides warehouse-management systems for manufacturers and distributors in the retail and grocery industries. Deloitte & Touche is one of the world's top consulting firms.
