New logistics show and conference announced
By Staff -- Logistics Management, 1/1/1998
There's a new conference and trade show on the logistics block, and it promises to be a big one. Billed as North America's most comprehensive conference and trade show for logistics professionals, the International Transportation and Logistics Exposition and Conference (ITL) will take place June 3-5 at Chicago's Navy Pier.Sponsored by the International Warehouse Logistics Association, Miller Freeman's French division, and a host of Cahners Publishing magazines, including Logistics Management & Distribution Report, ITL will include a full slate of educational sessions featuring industry thought leaders, a trade show, and special keynote addresses from some of the profession's most influential figures. Among them is Lt. General Gus Pagonis (ret.), who managed the logistics operations in the Gulf War and now oversees the logistics operation of retail giant Sears.
For Miller Freeman, the new event is an extension of its successful International Week of Transportation and Logistics, Europe's pre-eminent logistics conference and trade show. Now in its 15th year, the European event is the largest logistics show and conference in the world.
Based on its success in Europe, ITL is expected to draw a large number of logistics professionals from both Europe and North America. Additionally, as many as 150 companies from North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America are slated to exhibit their wares and services.
For more information on attending or exhibiting at this event, contact the IWLA at (847) 292-1891.
