NAFTA Notes: Canadian Pacific Railway has broken ground on the CDN $27.5 million Foothills Intermodal Facility in Calgary. Construction is scheduled for completion in 1999. Canada Maritime has ordered 3,000 new dry-van 20- and 40-foot containers, part of its program to replace older, leased equipment with new, owned boxes. Ryder Integrated Logistics Canada has signed an agreement with Avenor's White Paper Group to handle the paper manufacturer's transportation and distribution needs, including management of distribution centers in Brampton, Ont.; Minneapolis; and Chicago.
