Software Provides Visual Mapping

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 2/1/1998

McHugh Software International now offers TRACS* 3.3.1, the newest version of its tactical routing and consolidation system. The software can generate an electronic map that visually organizes shipping plans, allowing users easy access to plan details.

This visual mapping capability works with the TRACS* shipment modeling and operational modules. TRACS* translates shipping plans into a geographical picture that is linked to the actual shipping plan. The visual "snapshot" generated by TRACS* allows load planners to refine a plan by working on the map itself.

TRACS*3.3.1 features point and click "Drill-Down." By simply pointing and clicking on an area of the map, users can "drill down" to display more refined geographic detail. Users also can bring up actual shipping details that apply to any delivery on the map.
