American Wire Offers Reusable Wire-Mesh Containers

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 2/1/1999

American Wire Products, a division of awp industries inc., has introduced new reusable folding wire-mesh containers with a capacity of up to 4,000 pounds.

For easy access to contents, all containers come with either a standard one-half drop gate or a partial drop, full swing-out gate or end gate. In addition, the containers feature built-in safety locks to prevent the gates from opening during loading or while in transit.

Designed for repeated long-term use, these containers offer a full perimeter base-frame understructure made of 2-inch steel U-channel. Heavy-duty support legs are reinforced with double triangular gussets and welded inside the base-frame's U-channels.

In addition, these wire-mesh containers are built with double--vertical and horizontal--reinforcing wire rods at critical stress points. Every crossover point is welded to optimize strength, and a steel collar securely holds the front, back, and gate panels in place.

Container options include fork entry sleeves--for 2- or 4-way entry--casters, runner bars, and security lids. Customized container sizes also are available to meet specific requirements.FOR 134
