United Van Lines' Special Services Div. offers "selected delivery-date service," a customized expedited transportation service for its High-Value Products customers. Under this program, United will commit to deliver on or before a specified date, subject to equipment availability. United will tailor its service to meet individual needs for both truckload and less-than-truckload shipments, including inside delivery and a wide range of logistics-management services. Rates include a premium charge based on a minimum weight and usage of space.
