Label Applicator Marries Fox, Monarch Technologies
By Staff -- Logistics Management, 2/1/1999
Fox IV Technologies Inc. has combined its label applicator with a printer from Paxar/Monarch Marking Systems. The Fox IV Model 1465 label-printer-applicator fully integrates Monarch's print engine with Fox IV's printer-applicator design to ensure smooth, reliable operation.Label and ribbon components are mounted to a solid-metal machine center wall for accuracy of the label-web feed. The large, center-justified, 16-inch label-roll capacity allows for extended periods of production between label-roll changes. Label sizes can range from 1.2 inches wide by 0.75 inch long up to 4.25 inches wide by 14.0 inches long.
The 1465 includes a swing-away cylinder design. It allows the cylinder assembly to swing away from the unit's body to allow greater access to the print engine for cleaning, maintenance, and label and ribbon loading. The label and ribbon paths are screened directly onto the 1465 to make label and ribbon changes fast and simple.
The 1465 integrates with scanners, verifiers, scales, mainframes, and materials-handling equipment. It can incorporate either RS232 or RS422 communications interfaces.
