Fixed Scanner Offers Better Pattern Control

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 2/1/1998

The MaxiScan 3300 Multi-Function Industrial Fixed Scanner from Intermec has the ability to modify the scanning-pattern control for maximum efficiency in continuous scanning of different sized and shaped objects. The moving-beam laser scanner can read picket, ladder, angled, and omni-directional bar codes without requiring physical adjustments.

The unit has a rugged aluminum case, which makes it suitable for conveyor, lift-truck mount, and other industrial fixed applications. It also features a patented light-collection device that reads poor-quality codes and low-contrast labels.

Intermec's EasySet System, a Windows-based software program, simplifies scanner setup. The unit's price ranges from $1,745 to $1,845, depending upon the configuration.
