Border Lines
By Staff -- Logistics Management, 2/1/1999
* Buffalo, N.Y.-based PBB Global Logistics has updated its popular Canada Customs Tariff database, available free to shippers on its Web site (www.pbb.com). The database now includes information on more than 28,000 Harmonized System (HS) commodity codes and corresponding duty rates, including all revisions in effect for 1999. The database is searchable by either key word or HS code number. A faster, more accurate version of PBB's proprietary customs tariff search engine lets users find and download the information they need for cost forecasting and sales pricing, says John Ferguson, corporate marketing manager. The Web site also offers PBB's free, downloadable "ProDoc" software for creating and transmitting international trade documents.
