Recent major contract announcements include:

* AmeriCold Logistics, a temperature-controlled storage and food distribution services provider, has signed a service agreement with Super Kmart stores. AmeriCold will provide regionalized consolidated distribution to support the growth of Super Kmart's line of grocery products.

* CellStar Corp. has selected Circle International to provide a worldwide logistics network for CellStar's Global Satellite Services group, which distributes global personal communications products.

* Pillowtex Corp. has selected Schenker International to provide ocean freight, air freight, customs brokerage, and other logistics services. Schenker is responsible for importing materials from Asia, Europe, and Pakistan for shipment to Pillowtex's manufacturing plants across the United States.

* Xerox Corp. has renewed its contract with BAX Global. BAX Global handles Xerox's heavyweight shipments throughout the United States and Canada.

* Symantec Corp., a manufacturer of utility and anti-virus software, has awarded Emery Worldwide a one-year logistics contract to manage inventory and transport of Symantec products from the United States and Ireland to Brazil.

* The Kroger Co. has decided to outsource its 16-million cubic foot Atlanta distribution operations to CS Integrated LLC and RUAN Transportation.

* GE Medical Systems has chosen Syntra's Global Logistics System (GLS) as its international trade logistics and compliance solution. GLS will automate the cross-border logistics portion of GE Medical's international parts-delivery operations.
