* NAFTA Notes: Clarke Logistics of Concord, Ont., has signed an agreement to provide transportation and distribution services at all 160 Auto Sense auto-parts stores in Canada. Transportación Marítima Mexicana (TMM), Mexico's largest intermodal transportation company, has received the U.S. Coast Guard's AMVER award for participation in the Coast Guard-sponsored vessel search-and-rescue program. The Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) has appointed H.J. (George) Kuhn as executive director. Kuhn has more than 25 years of experience in freight forwarding in Europe, the United States, and Canada, including 17 years as president and CEO of Danzas Canada. DAT Services of Portland, Ore., has launched a freightmatching service for freight moving between the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Purchased Parts Group, a supplier of parts-inventory management, contract warehousing, sub-assembly, and other logistics-related services, has acquired total ownership of its joint venture in Mexico.
