Air

By Daryl Delano -- Logistics Management, 4/1/1998

Average aircargo prices dipped 0.1 percent during February, following a 0.3-percent drop in January. The price indexes for both scheduled-freight cargo and air-courier services dropped in February, but the non-scheduled cargo charter category more than offset this drop with a 3.6-percent increase between January and February. Non-scheduled cargo charter prices had fallen in three of the prior four months, however. We're looking for inflation to be non-existent for the sector as a whole during 1998.
