Class 7 Truck Ideal for Short-Haul Applications

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 3/1/1999

Kenworth's T300 can be used for a variety of short-haul applications, including expedited freight and intermodal deliveries. The T300 is available as a single- or tandem-axle straight truck or tractor and is designed to provide a longer operating life than comparable medium-duty vehicles.

The class 7 truck is available with a 150- to 280-inch wheelbase, Cummins ISB and ISC engines, and an Allison automatic transmission. Its sloped hood, one-piece windshield, and standard Daylite doors help improve the driver's visibility, and the 50-degree wheel cut offers greater maneuverability. In addition, the T300 is built with a lightweight aluminum/fiberglass construction. FOR INFORMATION CIRCLE 133
