The Universal-Lift materials-handling system's versatile attachments let users handle most loads without having to buy additional specialized handling equipment, says the manufacturer, Air Technical Industries. With just a screwdriver, the lift can be converted into nine different units. The newest attachment features a double-ram lifting device that can be used for bulk-bag lifting applications such as those in the chemical and food industry.
The Universal-Lift can be converted into eight other uses that include a forklift (lifts 2,000 pounds up to 12 feet high), platform lift (lowers from the ground to 12 feet high), crane (lifts 2,000 pounds more than 13 feet high), cable lift (lifts up more than 13 feet high and down 50 feet below the floor), personnel maintenance lift (basket lifts to working heights of 18 to 20 feet), coil reel and roll lifter (36 inches long, round ram lifts 2,000 pound coils), shovel bucket (lifts 2,000 pounds 12 feet high and pitches 90 degrees for dumping), and extended gooseneck boom crane (lifts up to 24 feet high for roof work).
The Universal-Lift is available with a choice of lifting attachments, power methods, and wheel options. It can be battery operated or electrically powered by a 110-volt single-phase or 240/480 3-phase, air-powered, gasoline, or propane engine.
