New Bags Protect Against Moisture Damage

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 4/1/1998

With the new CONTAINER DRI II bags, shippers and warehouse managers can better protect cargo from moisture damage. United Desiccants' new container bags control condensation levels in shipping containers by adsorbing almost three times their weight in water. Special microporous bags capture the moisture, preventing water from escaping.

CONTAINER DRI II is available in 125-gram bags, which are environmentally safe and can be disposed of like any normal waste- stream product. The manufacturer recommends 32 bags to protect cargo in 20-foot shipping containers and 64 bags for 40-foot containers.
