Ottawa will host two events of interest to logistics managers in May. The Can/Am Border Trade Alliance, a group of private- and public-sector organizations dedicated to improving trade between the United States and Canada, will hold its Spring Conference in Canada's capital city May 3-5. High-level officials, including Canadian Transport Minister David Collenette and U.S. Ambassador Gordon Giffin, will speak on bilateral policy issues. The conference also offers updates on developments affecting U.S.-Canada trade, customs procedures, and border-crossing operations. For more information, call (716) 754-8824. Later that month, Ottawa's Macdonald-Cartier International Airport Authority will host the 7th annual International Air Cargo Conference, slated for May 13-15. The educational program will include sessions on such topics as Canada-U.S. bilateral agreements, aircargo security issues, and airport privatization. The concurrent trade show boasts more than 100 exhibitors. For more information, call the conference organizers at (305) 591-9475.
