DXI Offers "E-Transport" Solution

DXI has developed a seamless, cross-platform shipment- and rate-information management solution called E-Transport Network. From booking requests to bills of lading, information is translated between trading partners within a secure environment.

E-Transport Network is used primarily for ocean shipments. Users can conduct competitive rate retrieval, file rate-action requests, and manage service contracts. Once a rate is agreed upon, a rate-action request is filed through the system and published within the carrier's database or transmitted to a regulatory organization. The rate then can be passed electronically from the carrier's pricing department to the shipper. With E-Transport Network, information does not need to be re-keyed. DXI's rate-management tools also permit centralized storage of rate and quote data.

The E-Transport Network is not limited to ocean transportation. It can be extended to meet international or domestic transportation needs including air, truck, and rail shipments. FOR INFORMATION CIRCLE 138
