Trucking

By Daryl Delano -- Logistics Management, 5/1/1998

Inflation within the broad trucking and courier services sector has moderated in recent months. After a small rise in February, the overall trucking price index declined by 0.3% during March. Though truckload and less-than-truckload prices were unchanged between February and March, the index for local trucking of general freight pulled the overall index down. We're still looking for inflation in overall trucking freight movements to be about 2.0% this year.
