Air

By Daryl Delano -- Logistics Management, 5/1/1998

Average aircargo prices rose 0.4% during March, following two consecutive months of small declines. Scheduled freight cargo prices moved up 0.4% over the latest month, while the cost of air-courier services moved ahead by an average of 0.3%. The only sharp price movement was in the non-scheduled cargo charter sector, where average prices fell by 1.1% between February and March. At the current pace, it looks as if airfreight transport prices will average a bit lower in 1998 than they did in 1997.
