"Quick Claw" Enhances Forklift Safety

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 5/1/1998

Lifting Technologies Inc. has introduced "Quick Claw," a device that safely secures slip-on attachments to lift-truck forks, thereby minimizing the problem of attachments accidentally sliding off the forks.

The Quick Claw can be added to any slip-on attachment by bolting or welding. It uses steel cams to lock attachments to the forks as soon as the load is lifted off the ground. After usage, the cams automatically free the forks and the truck may go on its way.

Not only do Quick Claw safety systems prevent accidental slippage, says the manufacturer, but they also improve productivity because operators can focus on work without getting on and off their forklift trucks each time they pick up or drop off an attachment.
