Kenworth Enters Class 7 Market With K37

Kenworth

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 5/1/1999

Kenworth Truck Co. has introduced its new K37 straight truck. The K37 is available with four wheelbase options--ranging from 169 to 236 inches.

The K37 comes standard with a Cummins ISB engine, which can be spec'ed from 175 to 230 horsepower and matched to a six-speed synchronized transmission. Eaton Spicer front axles (12,000-pound rating) and rear axles (21,000-pound rating) also are standard. In addition, the truck comes with Easton brakes and a Meritor WABCO four-channel, anti-lock braking system.

Other standard features include a tilt steering column, a 130-amp alternator, and a look-down mirror on the passenger side. The K37 has excellent ride and handling characteristics due to proprietary front and rear stabilizer bars, says the manufacturer. FOR INFORMATION CIRCLE 134
