Recent major contract announcements include

* Honeywell Inc. North America has named BAX Global its heavyweight global air carrier. BAX Global has been serving as Honeywell's international logistics and heavyweight airfreight provider in North America. This new agreement expands BAX Global's service for the rest of Honeywell's North American operations.* Dell Computer Corp. has selected Skyway Freight Systems Inc. to manage its Supplier Logistics Center. Skyway will manage inbound product flow and provide enhanced supply-chain visibility for Dell and its suppliers.
* Disney's Motion Pictures Group has awarded Emery Worldwide's global logistics unit a three-year contract to provide global fulfillment and logistics services to various internal Disney divisions. The contract includes the distribution of promotional, advertising, and publicity materials used by the entertainment industry.
* Philips Electronics North America Corp. has chosen AEI to provide airfreight and less-than-containerload (LCL) ocean services linking North America and Europe. AEI will assist Philips in attaining full pipeline visibility for its U.S. export traffic bound for Europe, as well as for import shipments into the United States and Canada.
* Brooks Sports Inc., an athletic footwear manufacturer, has selected Fritz Cos. to manage its off-site warehousing and distribution center.
* GATX Logistics Inc. renewed its agreement with Eveready Battery Co. Inc. to provide contract logistics services through its distribution center located in Carrollton, Texas. GATX Logistics will use 65,000 feet of warehouse space to provide all labor, supervision, and equipment needed to manage the distribution of Eveready's finished products to retailers.
