CLM sets conference agenda

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 6/1/1998

The Council of Logistics Management's annual conference, scheduled for Oct. 11 to 14 at the Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., will include workshops, presentations, and facility tours in 44 subject areas or tracks.

The conference, the largest logistics-education event in North America, is expected to draw in excess of 6,000 participants. The conference begins on Sunday, Oct. 11, with a keynote address by Mike Vance. Vance has been involved in product development for Walt Disney Productions and is a founder of Creative Thinking Associates.

Each of the 44 tracks will offer programs in eight concurrent session periods running from Monday, Oct. 12, to Wednesday, Oct. 14. Track topics include a variety of logistics and supply-chain issues, management strategies, and current logistics research.

Registration costs prior to July are $775 for CLM members and $975 for non-members. Beginning July 1, those fees will increase by $100. The deadline for registration is Sept. 25, but the Council warns that it could stop accepting registrations at an earlier date if registration reaches capacity before then.

Additional information on the conference can be obtained from the Council of Logistics Management by telephone at (630) 574-0985, or by e-mail at clmadmin@clm1.org
