Progistics Suite Provides Seamless Transportation Solution

TanData Corp.'s Progistics CS (Component Solution) transportation solution suite is designed to provide customers with a seamless transportation solution that can be integrated with an enterprise system. All software within this suite can be used for Internet as well as corporate intranet applications.

Unlike common shipping systems, says the manufacturer, Progistics CS is the first and only Internet-enabled management suite that allows multiple carrier relationships to be maintained on a single system.

One component of the suite is Progistics Merchant, which serves as an electronic routing guide, allowing a client to submit information about an order and retrieve rating, routing, and delivery-commitment information.

In addition, Progistics Merchant can be used with e-Commerce stores (the product ships with interface documentation for Microsoft, iCat, Oracle, and Intershop) or with order-entry systems to select carriers, pick level of service, and shop among those carriers for the best shipping rates.
