New Lift/Leveler System Saves Dock Space

New materials-handling equipment designed to boost productivity helps warehouse workers move, store, and cross-dock goods quickly.

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 6/1/1998

Rite-Hite Corp. has introduced the "DUAL-DOK 2000'' combined lift/leveler system. The DUAL-DOK 2000 provides the advantages of traditional dock levelers, scissors lifts, and ramps at a single dock position. The DUAL-DOK 2000 saves valuable dock space and enhances efficiency and safety, says the manufacturer.

The system has a total length of more than 13 feet and a service range from 12 inches above to 20 inches below dock level. According to the manufacturer, this expanded working range creates greater dock safety as the leveler's grade is reduced.

The DUAL-DOK 2000 features user-friendly controls that include simple pushbuttons, an easy-to-read LCD message center, and a control panel with an on-screen diagnostic display for trouble-shooting.
