* NAFTA Notes: Truckload carrier CFI has been inducted as an honorary member of CANACAR, Mexico's national trucking association. CFI is the first U.S. trucking company to be so honored. Canadian National will begin construction this fall on a CDN $18-million intermodal terminal in Edmonton, Alberta. The new terminal will have a capacity of 225,000 intermodal units. Consolidated Freightways has formed a joint venture with the Alfri-Loder Group of Monterrey, Mexico, to expand both companies' transportation service offerings across the border and within Mexico. Emery Customs Brokers and Norman Jensen Inc. have established a partnership that will provide full-service customs brokerage and consulting services along the entire U.S.-Canadian border.
