New materials-handling equipment designed to boost productivity helps warehouse workers move, store, and cross-dock goods quickly

Gorbel has unveiled two new lines of robotic work station cranes--the CLR series and the SLR series. Both types of cranes are built for operation 24 hours a day to cut labor and production time. The machines are constructed from aluminum alloy, which is naturally non-corrosive when exposed to high levels of moisture and most chemicals. All equipment is pre-assembled and fully tested before delivery. The CLR machines are designed to work in materials-handling, palletizing, and depalletizing applications. The design limits the number of moving parts, which minimizes maintenance. The unit has a capacity of up to 2,000 pounds, with vertical lifts of up to eight feet.
The SLR series, on the other hand, has a unique scissors construction to allow lifts of up to 20 feet while maximizing headroom. The multi-belt lifting design provides accurate vertical positioning. The rigid scissors construction accommodates capacities of up to 4,000 pounds, which helps stabilize long or unbalanced loads.
