Water
By Staff -- Logistics Management, 1/1/2000
Several currents are shaping the water-transportation price picture these days. In November 1999, average water transportation rates fell from the previous month's levels by 1.0%. After prices soared last spring and in the early summer, some pricing predictability will come as a welcome relief to shippers. Unfortunately, the aggregate data still hide a lot of volatility. For example, from October to November, inbound liner deep-sea freight transportation prices rose 0.2%. Outbound liner prices, meanwhile, fell 8.0% during the same period.Source: Thinking Cap Solutions
