Is there poetry in the open road?

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 1/1/2000

Is there poetry in the open road? The Department of Transportation thinks so. It is sponsoring a poetry contest for children in grades one to eight on the theme "Land, air, or sea, transportation moving things for you and me." The deadline for poems is the end of this month. Winners, who will be announced in March, will receive a certificate and their poems will be published on the Garrett A. Morgan Technology and Transportation Futures program Web site and in its newsletter. For information about the contest, go to http://education.dot.gov.
