Ryder System Inc. has elected Carol A. Kiryluk vice president and chief human resource officer. Kiryluk is responsible for managing worldwide human resources, including organization strategy and effectiveness, career development and succession planning, staffing and labor relations, compensation, and benefits.Morgan Corp. has promoted Shaun Luther Jr. to vice president and general manager of the company's Parts and Service Division. Luther previously served as director and general manager of that division.
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Inc. has named Fernando Arias executive manager for the company's Latin American Development Board. Arias's primary responsibility involves developing new services for the Latin American market, including the company's new Asia-Latin America ocean-airfreight service.
Dryvit Systems Inc. has promoted Tom O'Rourke to director of logistics and purchasing. O'Rourke recently served as director of logistics.
Magline Inc., provider of Magliner route distribution solutions, has appointed David Straw president and chief operating officer. Straw recently served as president and chief executive officer of Cuyahoga Steel & Wire LLP.
GeoLogistics Corp. has appointed Robert Arovas president and chief executive officer. Arovas recently served as chief operating officer.
AEI has named Kenneth A. Nieze vice president-global sales and marketing, Europe. Nieze recently served as vice president of sales and marketing, North America.
The National Industrial Transportation League has promoted Peter J. Gatti to vice president of international relations. Since 1992, Gatti has served as the organization's director of policy, specializing in air, maritime, and international issues.
Boxboard Containers International has selected JoAnn R. Hines as one of the packaging industry's 50 Most Influential Leaders of the 20th Century. Hines serves as chief executive officer of a packaging-related consulting firm, GlobalPak, and is founding executive director of Women in Packaging Inc. Of the recipients, Hines was the only woman selected.
