The market for applications and services that back up electronic commerce
By Staff -- Logistics Management, 3/1/2000
The market for applications and services that back up electronic commerce continues to expand. The North American electronic-services market, for instance, exceeded $10 billion in 1999 and will more than double by the end of 2004, says a new study by the ARC Advisory Group. ARC, which provides strategic planning services to manufacturers, defines e-business services as including such enterprise-management tools as enterprise resource planning (ERP), extended supply chain, customer-relations management, and core e-business solutions. The top suppliers of e-business services, according to ARC, include Andersen Consulting, EDS, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Lockheed Martin.
