More vendors, consultants link up
By Staff -- Logistics Management, 1/1/2001
Software vendors and consultants go together like paper and pencils ... or hardware and software. Accordingly, several vendors have recently formed alliances with consulting firms to support their applications. One of the latest of these alliances involves SeeCommerce of Palo Alto, Calif., and Experio Solutions, formerly the e-business consulting practice of Grant Thornton LLP. SeeCommerce provides software that improves online visibility of products in supply chains. Experio will assist with the installation of SeeCommerce's software at clients' facilities.
Another recent pact links up supply chain software provider Provia with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) of New York City. Provia of Grand Rapids, Mich., will provide special advanced training for PwC consultants on the implementation of Provia's warehouse management software.
Finally, supply chain software vendor Yantra Corp. of Acton, Mass., has formed a strategic alliance with the consulting firm Accenture of New York City, which was formerly known as Andersen Consulting.
