"SpeechNet Logistics" software modules from Syvox are designed to facilitate the use of voice-recognition systems in distribution and warehousing. The modules, which are designed to help warehouse workers perform such tasks as picking, putaway, and cycle-counting, allow workers to hear instructions through a headset's earpiece and to communicate verbally with the data-management system through a wireless network. The latest release of ALK's PC*FuelTax 6.0 software includes fuel-purchase currency designations to distinguish between U.S. and Canadian dollar transactions.
