Watkins Motor Lines Inc. and Saddle Creek Corp. have formed a joint venture to offer nationwide warehousing and logistics solutions. Velocity Logistics LLC combines Watkins'LTL, truckload, refrigerated, and expedited services with the warehousing and distribution solutions of Saddle Creek.

Express Lite by QuikPak is designed for shipper-mailers of lightweight parcels and commits to delivering in the continental United States in four to six days.

Inc., U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc., and Werner Enterprises Inc. -intend to merge their logistics business units into a commonly owned, Internet-based global logistics company to be called Transplace.com.
