Emery Worldwide has promoted Julie Hurst, an 11-year veteran of Emery Customs Brokers, to the new position of manager, global customs compliance. A licensed customs broker, Hurst is responsible for conducting formal training seminars on nonresident importer requirements for shippers and sellers around the world.
Logistics.com, a provider of information technology and electronic commerce solutions for the transportation and logistics industries, has named John P. Lanigan Jr. president and chief operating officer. Lanigan previously served as chief operating officer of truckload carrier Schneider National Inc.
Valerie A. Bonebrake has joined Yellow Freight System as senior vice president, new services. Previously, Bonebrake served as a vice president and corporate officer of Ryder Integrated Logistics.
The U.S. Department of Transportation has named Nadine Hamilton deputy assistant secretary for governmental affairs. Hamilton recently served as the department's director of congressional affairs.
C S Integrated LLC, an operator of refrigerated warehouses and distribution centers in the United States, has appointed Cheryl A. Kent vice president of transportation for its Logistics Services Group. Prior to joining the company, Kent was vice president of logistics at AEP Industries and director of logistics at Knouse Foods.
LBX Co., the maker of Link-Belt Excavators, has named Thomas Roberts chief financial officer. Roberts most recently served as director of strategic cost management at Case Corp.
