Class 7 Truck Designed for Short-Haul Applications
By Staff -- Logistics Management, 4/1/2000
Kenworth's T300 can be used for a variety of shorthaul applications, including expedited freight and intermodal deliveries. The T300's tandem axles offer a load capacity of up to 50,000 pounds vs. 33,000 pounds for single axles.
The class 7 truck is available with a 150- to 280-inch wheelbase, Cummins ISB and ISC engines, and an Allison automatic transmission. Its sloped hood, one-piece windshield, and standard Daylite doors help improve the driver's visibility, and the 50-degree wheel cut enhances maneuverability.
