The International Warehouse Logistics Association has appointed Joel R. Hoiland as its new president and CEO. Hoiland replaces Michael Jenkins, who resigned from the post in December.
From 1996 until joining IWLA last month, Hoiland was president of the KDB Management Group, a St. Louis-based interim executive services, consulting, and project-management company. Prior to his tenure at KDB, Hoiland was director of operations for the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) in St. Paul, Minn. Before joining the IFAI, Hoiland spent 14 years as the president and CEO of the Minnesota Grocers Association in St. Paul.
The IWLA is a trade organization that promotes public and contract warehousing and related logistics services. It has more than 550 members worldwide that operate more than 325 million square feet of public and contract warehouse space.
