Consolidated Freightways Corp. (CFC) has elected Patrick H. Blake president and chief executive officer of CFC and chief executive officer of Consolidated Freightways (CF). Blake, who previously served as president and chief operating officer for CF, began his career with CF in 1969 as a dockman in Oregon.

Yellow Corp. has added two executives to its Regional Carrier Group's management team. Jim Bellinghausen has been named vice president-finance. Mark Robinson was named vice president- information technology.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc. has promoted Robert E. McDowell to executive vice president and chief operating officer. With this promotion, McDowell also becomes a member of the board. He has been with the company since its inception in 1985 and most recently served as senior vice president, operations.

CFI, a privately held international truckload carrier, has announced that Herbert J. Schmidt has been appointed president. He most recently served as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Also in a new position is Angelo J. Ianello. He was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer from his position as senior vice president of finance.

The Walt Disney Co. has appointed Lawrence Aldridge vice president, global category sourcing. He will handle the development and execution of the company's sourcing and supply management strategies. Aldridge joins the company from Atlantic Richfield Co.

CSX Lines has appointed William Donovan vice president and chief information officer. Brian W. Taylor has been named division vice president and general manager-Hawaii and Guam. Gabriel M. Serra has been named to Taylor's vacated position of division vice president and general manager-Puerto Rico.

DHL Airways Inc., the U.S. arm of the DHL Worldwide Express network, has named Shawn Farshchi senior vice president, information services, and chief information officer. He was promoted from his role as vice president of infrastructure technology and services.

nPassage has added three top executives to enhance its online transportation execution community. Chris Larkin was appointed vice president-product development. Lloyd Sanford was named vice president-client services, and Robert Wallace is now the vice president-business development.

FedEx Logistics Inc. has made four appointments in its Supply Chain Services operating unit. Susan Hatchard Hough was named vice president of sales and marketing. Rebecca McClendon joins as vice president of information technology. Rodney Miller is the new vice president and general manager of international operations. Douglas E. Witt was named vice president and general manager of e-logistics.

Checkpoint Systems Inc., provider of supply chain management and security solutions worldwide, has tapped Robbie Robinson as vice president, worldwide manufacturing.

USF Logistics, a logistics business unit of USFreightways Corp., has announced the appointment of Robert Endemann to the position of vice president and general manager, retail. Lonnie Turner has joined the company as general manager, international.

Transport International Pool, a GE Capital company, has appointed Alan Messing vice president, marketing and trailer division, for its intermodal services division. He currently serves as the vice chairman of the board of directors for the Intermodal Association of North America.

Landstar System Inc., a safety-first transportation and information services company, has named Mike Cobb as director of safety. He will oversee loss prevention and safety program development.

Michel Distribution Services Inc., a third-party logistics service provider, has promoted John E. Schammel to president. He has been with the company since 1997.

The membership of the American Machine Tool Distributors' Association elected J. Lee Juett association chairman. Juett is currently president of the J. Lee Hackett Co. in Farmington, Mich.

Alvey Systems Inc., a provider of materials and information solutions, has named Stephen Ackerman president. He was promoted from his role as vice president-integrated system sales.
