Michelin North America Inc. has announced its donation of $25,000 to the International Tire and Rubber Association's (ITRA) Educational Foundation. The ITRA's Educational Foundation is a support organization committed to increasing public awareness of the tire, rubber, and transportation industries while providing educational and training services, including school-to-work initiatives, welfare-to-work programs, and educational publications.
McKay Logistics Corp., an asset-based third-party logistics provider, has added a new division, McKay Logistics Express. This common and contract carrier division will offer the shipping community competitively priced guaranteed service for truckload and large partial shipments, with a money-back promise that distribution will be free if the delivery is not made on time, every time.
Circle International has expanded its logistics facilities in response to increased demand for international transportation, logistics, and supply chain management services. The new facilities are located in Los Angeles; Dallas; Edison, N.J.; and Madrid, Spain. The expansions collectively add more than 300,000 square feet of space.
American Trans-Freight LLC (ATF) has purchased the truckload division of Redwood Systems Inc., a full-service third-party contract logistics company. The acquisition expands the carrier's agent base to more than 80 locations throughout the United States.
Emery Worldwide has redesigned its Web site, www.emeryworld.com, to feature a "Document Center" that allows shippers to generate, complete, and print both domestic and international shipping forms as well as order supplies online.
