Transport International Pool (TIP) has named Chris Hines president of TIP North America's over-the-road business. He has been with the company since 1986 and was promoted from his most recent position of senior vice president.
Distance Packaging, a designer and integrator of customized packaging solutions, has appointed Mark Bourgeau chief operating officer. For the past five years, Bourgeau has served as director, application engineering and product development of packaging.
Pacer International has promoted Walter Peckham to chief information officer from director of information technology for Pacer Stacktrain, part of the Pacer International Group.
Ryder System Inc. has named Gene R. Tyndall executive vice president-global markets and solutions. Tyndall spent 20 years with Ernst & Young prior to joining Ryder.
Yellow Corp. has named James Welch president and chief operating officer of its Yellow Freight System subsidiary. Concurrent with Welch's appointment, the company announced that Mike Smid had been promoted to executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Kent Line International Ltd. and Kent Line Ltd. have appointed Graham J. Fraser vice president and general manager.
The Facility Group has announced that Tom Brady has joined the company as vice president of the Facility Logistics Group.
