EXE, InterWorld Team Up for e-Commerce

By Staff -- Logistics Management, 10/1/2000

Warehouse management software vendor EXE Technologies of Dallas will join forces with another software maker, InterWorld Corp. of New York, to offer an e-commerce solution. The two software developers plan to provide companies with an e-commerce system that analyzes customer preferences to customize the shopping and fulfillment processes.

The two say they will combine InterWorld's capabilities to display and promote products on a customer-specific basis with EXE's capabilities to configure to order. For instance, if a customer frequently orders a particular genre of book from an e-tailer, the software would instruct a warehouse worker to include coupons or information on a similar item with the shipment.
