ClearCross lends international expertise to Ariba

International software vendor ClearCross of New York, N.Y., has formed a strategic alliance with electronic commerce software maker Ariba of Mountain View, Calif. As part of the deal, ClearCross will provide landed cost calculation services for Ariba's business-to-business platform. The term landed cost refers to the actual freight cost of sending goods to a foreign country, including duties, tariffs, and other charges beyond the pure cost of transportation.
