Barthco International Inc., a provider of international transportation and logistics services, has announced the appointment of David M. Weiss as the company's chief operating officer. He was most recently corporate vice president of Barthco. He is also a principal of the company.
Matthew L. Rittenhour was appointed director of finance and controller at FedEx Custom Critical, a time-specific, critical-shipment carrier. He joins the company from FedEx's sister company, FedEx Ground.
TydenBrammall Inc., a cargo security seal manufacturer, named Edward F. Lysne vice president and general manager of TydenTek, a joint venture between TydenBrammall and Hi-G Tek, an Israeli high-tech firm. He will oversee strategic partnerships, business strategy development, and day-to-day operations.
CRST International Inc. has named Ben Ryan director of sales and marketing for the Air Cargo Expedited Division. He was most recently with Cargo Service Center. CRST Inc., a subsidiary of CRST International, has promoted Marty Keppler to director of operations-Air Cargo Expedited. He joined CRST in 1999 as operations manager. John B. Bowron has been named to the CRST board of directors. He recently retired from Landstar Systems Inc.
Global transportation and logistics solution provider Circle International has promoted Anthony Hooey to president and chief operating officer for the Asia Pacific region.
ShipLogix has appointed Mike Cutone to the post of vice president, operations. He joins the company from FedEx Logistics (formerly Caliber Logistics). Also in new positions at ShipLogix are Dennis Koziol and Wayne Chapman, who were named vice presidents of business development for the Midwest and West, respectively. Stephanie Shearer has joined the company as director of business development as well. She comes to the company from North American Van Lines. ShipLogix has also added Bob Lake to its board of directors. He is currently chief operating officer of Exel plc.
Kathleen A. Burns and Robert L Gould have been named assistant vice presidents-corporate communications and public affairs for CSX Transportation Inc. and CSX Corp., respectively.
