Jacobson Logistics has promoted Michael Volz to director of logistics services from his position of group manager of logistics, which he has held since 1996.

Sheila Bleckman was recently promoted to the position of director of cargo claims and administration at UniGroup Inc. The St. Louis-based transportation services company owns United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit.

APL Logistics has named Thomas Poulsen assistant vice president for strategic planning and business development. He was most recently a logistics officer for Toys "R" Us.
