Software Makers Link Up
By Staff -- Logistics Management, 10/1/2000
Two logistics software vendors have joined forces to offer broader service to shippers. Logistics and transportation software maker Global Logistics Technologies (G-Log) of Shelton, Conn., has inked a pact with NextLinx Corp. of Silver Spring, Md., which makes international trade software. As part of the deal, the two vendors will jointly market their software applications to provide expanded global trade information.
NextLinx's transaction services provide an online source for landed costs as well as information on import and export trade regulations. G-Log's applications, on the other hand, provide real-time global routing, rating, scheduling, booking, and management of multimodal, multi-carrier shipments.
